School Nurse's Office

We have two nurses, Andrea Coviello, LPN, and Linda Barrille, RN, who provide coverage in our nurse's office Monday through Friday from 8:30-1:30 pm. Our school nurses can be reached by calling the school office (781-899-0353) or the nurse's office directly (781-899-5027).
March is National Nutrition Month.
The Health Office will be bringing nutrition education into the classroom during the month. The recent BMI (Body Mass Index) screenings done at Our Lady’s showed that the population of the grades screened has a 22-24% rate of overweight/obese children. In keeping with this Our Lady’s Academy is adopting March as HEALTHY SNACK MONTH. This means snacks are to be low fat, low sugar healthy snacks. Some ideas are fat-free pudding, low fat granola bars, graham crackers, fresh fruit/ veggies with low fat dip, cheese sticks, popcorn, whole grain dry cereal and low sugar beverages.
In the coming months the Health Office will be discussing Body Health/Hygiene, Oral Health/Hygiene and Skin Protection/Sun Prevention. We encourage parents/guardians input with suggestions and ideas. Please contact the Health Office with your ideas. Learning is impacted greatly when the body is not healthy. Thank You, Linda Barrile R.N.
